I came to yoga the long way on a short road. My paternal grandmother began to teach me mantras at the age of five. I had no concept of what it was, these words out of my mouth, the sounds to hear, the sensations they provoked. Resonance.

Twenty eight years later and I retain that curious nature. I want to test thresholds. I encourage you to do the same, to embrace risk. To wrap your will around these everyday challenges reflected on the mat. My beliefs: falling is an opportunity to learn; examining patterns invites consciousness; community is there to be invited; I love myself and I’m worthy of such love.

This work is simple; process not result. The marriage of breath and movement. There are no mistakes. This moment right now is right.
